We will hold an in-person Group Charge Conference on Sunday, November 12, at 4:00 p.m. at Northwest Hills UMC, 7050 Village Center Dr. in Austin. I hope this opportunity will work for the majority of our district churches. This scheduling means that all your agenda items should be completed and approved by your church council or leadership team prior to November 12. It will not be possible in that forum to discuss or amend your reports. I want to encourage you and your folks to attend on November 12, with paperwork in hand.

If November 12 absolutely doesn’t work for you, we will convene a group charge conference via Zoom on Sunday, December 3, at 5:00 p.m. Given past difficulty of tracking down some church reports following Zoom charge conferences, your completed paperwork will need to be submitted to the district office by noon on Wednesday, November 29. Also given the relative convenience of this option, I also ask that you help your leaders work to ensure the attendance of more than just you and one or two other leaders.
Finally, if you have special business to tend to, you may request an individual charge conference, to be completed by December 3. I will work with you to identify an elder to preside at your conference, if I am not able to be present. Paperwork for those conferences will be due in the district office immediately following the charge conference.
